Paula Sullivan has an Associates Degree in Music from Grand Rapids Community College. She is a member of the Michigan Music Teachers Association, Piano Teacher’s Forum, the St Celica Music Society, the American Guild of Organists, and the American Theatre Organ Society of which she is a founding member of the Great Lakes Chapter.
Paula has played piano almost her entire life and has taught piano for 36+ years. She has played church organ for 20+ years and she has played harp since 1991.
The Mighty Wurlitzer Organ was a favorite feature at the Roaring 20′s/ Good Time Charlie’s Restaurant. When Good Time Charlies was being closed, Paula Sullivan was instrumental in having the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ declared a national monument in order to prevent it from being sold to an overseas bidder. Through her efforts and the work of many volunteers, the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ is now held at the Public Museum of Grand Rapids. The Mighty Wurlitzer Organ organ features concerts by nationally recognized organists throughout the year. Paula is regularly asked to play for the children’s Story Organ series and the Independence Day Concert.
